Leads That Ask for You

Cold lists are a waste of time.

The Lead Pipe tracks new permits in your area and connects with contractors before your competitors even see they’ve filed. We proactively establish interest in receiving a quote from your company on that project’s supply needs. You only pay when that confirmed opportunity is delivered to you.

FAQ

Yes! You will never pay for the same opportunity as another supplier. When we approach a contractor about a particular permit, we work hard to open the door for your company specifically. No more than one supplier is mentioned per outreach, and when the contractor says they would like to receive a quote, they agree to receive it from your company by name. This way contractors don’t feel bombarded and you can be confident the quality of your leads has not been diluted by multiple requests.

No. You only pay for confirmed opportunities we deliver to you.

We send over a simple agreement that lays out the terms of working together. This is not in any way restrictive—you are free to keep your other lead sources and prospecting teams active as we work together! The goal of this document is simply to set clear expectations and define what qualifies as a billable lead.

No. Your sales team is still essential for quoting, relationship building, and closing business. The Lead Pipe replaces a large portion of the time spent searching for projects and handling cold outreach. We field the initial “no’s” so your team can focus on contractors who have already said “yes.”

What Is This?

We monitor permits for new construction and renovation in your target area. When a fresh permit is filed, our team contacts the contractor and introduces your company as a potential supplier for the job. Once the contractor confirms they want your quote, we deliver the opportunity to your team. Your sales team handles quoting and closing.

Permit lists and purchased data are cold. Your team still has to chase contractors who never asked to be contacted. We handle the outreach and only deliver opportunities where the contractor has confirmed they want to receive a quote from your company. Instead of starting with a cold call, you’re starting with permission and real interest.

Suppliers with a team ready to quote quickly and compete for projects see the best results. Companies with limited service coverage may see fewer results, but we will always work within your serviceable territory.

We currently operate in both Chicagoland and South Florida. Our primary industry is roofing, followed by windows and doors, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and concrete and masonry. If you operate outside of our current service areas, we are still happy to talk. Our goal is to expand in the coming year, and founding partners in new territories receive the best rates.

var acc = document.getElementsByClassName("accordion"); var i; for (i = 0; i < acc.length; i++) { acc[i].addEventListener("click", function () { this.classList.toggle("active"); var panel = this.nextElementSibling; if (panel.style.maxHeight) { panel.style.maxHeight = null; } else { panel.style.maxHeight = panel.scrollHeight + "px"; } }); }

Exclusivity and Control

Yes. You will never pay for the same opportunity as another supplier. When we approach a contractor about a permit, we open the door for your company specifically. Contractors agree to receive a quote from your company by name, so you are not competing against multiple suppliers for the same project.

Yes. We partner with multiple suppliers in the same market, but each opportunity is exclusive. When a contractor agrees to receive a quote, they agree to hear from your company by name.

When you begin your partnership with The Lead Pipe, you will set parameters including territory zip codes, job sizes, and supply types. You can also block contractors you do not want us to contact on your behalf. If you would like to pre-reserve full exclusivity for certain contractors, we offer an optional reduced-rate program to secure those opportunities in advance. We do not allow selection between individual permits because outreach begins as soon as permits are filed.

Yes. You can block any contractor in our system to protect existing relationships and avoid being charged for projects already on your radar. Please allow up to 48 hours for new blocks to take effect. Our outreach continues across new permits, but your company will never be included in conversations involving contractors on your block list. If you would like full exclusivity for certain contractors, we offer a reduced-rate option to secure those opportunities in advance.

Yes. You can offer incentives such as priority shipping or discounts. While it is not required, suppliers often see stronger results when we are able to include a compelling offer in outreach.

What to Expect

Outreach usually begins within hours of a permit being filed. Contractors may not be ready to respond right away, but once they confirm they are ready for a quote, we ensure your company is positioned to be one of the first they hear from.

It may take a few weeks to get your company fully set up in our system. This allows our team to learn your needs and preferences and prepare outreach on your behalf.

We conduct outreach on thousands of permits each month. During onboarding, we will ask how many opportunities your team can comfortably quote each month. We do not guarantee a minimum number, but you can set a monthly maximum and we will pause outreach once that cap is reached.

You will receive the contractor’s name and contact information, the permit number, job valuation, and a description of the project and property type.

Opportunities are delivered directly to your team via email.

We recommend contacting contractors as soon as possible while their interest is fresh. If a contractor asks to receive pricing at a later date, we will deliver the opportunity at the appropriate time.

Pricing

Pricing is straightforward with flat fees tied to project size:

<$30K projects: $20
$30K–$59K projects: $50
$60K–$89K projects: $125
$90K+ projects: $375

No. You only pay for confirmed opportunities we deliver to you.

An opportunity becomes billable once a contractor has confirmed they would like to receive a quote from your company for materials on a specific permitted project and the opportunity has been delivered to you. From there, quoting and closing is handled by your sales team.

Flexibility

We send over a simple agreement that lays out the terms of working together. It is not restrictive and you are free to keep your other lead sources and prospecting teams active as we work together. The purpose of the document is simply to set clear expectations and define what qualifies as a billable lead. You are free to stop working with us at any time.

Yes. We ask for one week’s notice when possible so we can alert our team and deliver any outstanding opportunities that are already in progress.

Our partnerships are designed to be low risk and flexible. There are no setup fees, subscriptions, or long-term commitments. You only pay for confirmed opportunities. If you have specific concerns, our team is happy to talk them through before you get started.

Results

Every contractor we send your way has agreed to receive a quote from your company for a specific project. We cannot guarantee a sale.

The Lead Pipe opens the door for sales conversations and passes the opportunity to your team. If we deliver a verified, quote-ready opportunity, it is billable even if the contractor ultimately chooses not to purchase materials for that job.

Once we deliver a confirmed, quote-ready opportunity, your sales team takes it from there. Not every opportunity will turn into a sale, but every contractor you receive has already agreed to receive pricing from your company.

Suppliers use these opportunities to start new contractor relationships, expand into new projects, and create a steady pipeline of quoting activity.

No. Your sales team is still essential for quoting, relationship building, and closing business. The Lead Pipe replaces much of the time spent searching for projects and handling cold outreach. We field the initial no’s so your team can focus on contractors who have already said yes.

Reach out to schedule a quick introductory call. We will learn about your territory, supply types, and quoting capacity, then begin onboarding your company so opportunities can start flowing to your team.
